I can not express how much I love the crazy expression shots! There's something about a very typically sexy girl pulling funny faces that is just epic XD!
Personally I think it would be awesome to see more of your and your model's senses of humour in more shots and more funny full shots like [link] and [link] .I feel adding a bit of humour more often in nude shots would make them more interesting too buuuuut then I am lady who likes her mens so naked women don't exactly spark my interest... but I have a feeling that if this was a gallery of hot men I would still appreciate "classic pin ups" a lot more more if you put humour in them too. It just adds more life, personality and makes them stand out, plus your good at catching moments of hot people being funny.
... but your guy and lezzie viewers might not be so interested in having lols in pinups, I don't know , it's just some thoughts C;.
Also your icon in the greatest!

I almost always have the person I am shooting do a funny face. Its the best. I have some more goofy faces in my scrapbook section [link]

I have shot many guys too but it just doesnt seem as funny when they make a face. Models with make-up looking beautiful and then making a face like a goldfish is really fun for me. Thanks so much for your imput and even the links to show me. I appreciate that. Also I looked at your gallery and you amazed the crap out of me. Thats a talent I wish I had. Thanks for writing :XD:

Lol, thank you! They are brilliant! I've never seen anything quite like them in photography. I had been though your scrap book (mostly looking for your icon photo :XD:) but I'd missed that lizard face one.

Yeah I think the eye liner and lipstick on the girls helps as it makes their expression almost look cartoony, it draws attention to the exaggerated parts of the face.
It also helps that they're acting out of character to whatever situation/ style they are in. One of the reasons the pretty girls look so funny when they pull a face is because people aren't use to seeing them like that XD. Guys can look funny but it isn't as easy to get it out of them and to get the same cartoony effect, they might need a touch of subtle eye liner to make the eyes stand out.Having them acting out of character will help too , Ei a lumber jack pin up where he's pulling a funny face why examining his nails or checking his hair in his axe or struggling to lift his axe or something.
In your kind of funny shots the humour is coming from an element that is unexpected from "this kind" of model and the style of photos you take, which in most cases is a very classic glamorous magazine style. This type of shot are normally very serious and seductive so the humour mostly comes from the unexpected elements of the girls pulling silly faces. For example this shot [link] . You would properly normally see shots a bit like this where it would be a beautiful model dressed up summery in nature pulling a "dreamy" or "waiting" look but the fact she is pulling such a unusual annoyed looking face in stead is what makes this so funny XD.The face alone is funny but the situation makes it even funnier. [link] This one too normally would be a pretty girl looking innocent or licking some big candy thing instead you have her pulling a crazy face it's unexpected and thus more funny, it's the same with your icon and your icon possibly dose it best, normally a picture of that style with a model that beautiful would have her smiling pleasantly or looking seductive instead she is pulling a epic fish face it's so out of place and very funny!
[link] this one on the other hand though the face she is pulling is still brilliant and the shot is still fairly funny the shot is not quite as funny as the other two because the face dose not feel so out of place, she is dressed a little geeky and cheeky with head phones in and is pulling a bit of a dorky face with a "Rock on" hand, her situation and expression are more expected together. So it might be the reason your male funny shots aren't as funny is because they ether doing something expected of them/ their situation or they're expression isn't quite exaggerated enough(might need the help of subtle man make up) but I aware the cartoony effect make up can give can make pretty girls hard to beat when it comes to funny faces. I can't say why it is for sure cause I haven't seen your funny face male shots but this might be what the difference is.
But ether way I wasn't suggesting you take more shots of men(though I wouldn't complain if you did ;p) I was simply saying that I don't think my lack of interest in naked sexy women is why I would like more humour in their sexy shots.
You're welcome I'm glad you like the input, sorry for writing a essay again, I just thought if you hadn't of thought of this stuff already, knowing it might help you work out how to get funny shots from your male models too ^^;.
Humour shots are so much fun and such a wave of fresh air too see so it would be great if you do more of them :D!

Wow, thank you:blushes:!
It's a skill I'm still trying to get the hang of myself lol ^^;, but thank you very much for your kind words! I'm flattered that you liked my gallery so much :D:heart:!
You're very welcome.

Thanks so much for your views and I agree with them. Usually when I shoot guys its just boring headshots and even though they make funny faces its just a guy making a face. I like your ideas and you inspire me to do more silly pics with males and females. Most of my work is females though and some of those girls have some seriously funny side to them...and I love to see it. Thank you so much. You are so awesome to wrote such a deep and thoughtout comment. Talk to you soon. John G

I always thought it would be cool to do this kind of photography but women tend to put more clothes ON whenever I'm around. Of course now that I have a camera they tend to run and/or throw things as well.:)
